Sports & Cultural Activities : Having reliance with the lines, a sports & cultural activities department have also been established. At LGNI we are not concerned only with the academic development but with multidimensional development of the students. A gymnasium with Indoors games have also been established. Many programmes are being organized to luster the inner talent students. To articulate their talents, explore their hidden persona and to prop up total personality development of the students they are encouraged to participate as well as organize the events of extra curricular activities, sports etc. 

Anxious about the health of the students, the institute is taking medical checkup of them fortnightly. He institute is also providing free of cost routine health care as well as treatment during illness to its students. The leaves during the period of illness shall be governed by the rules & regulations of leaves. Students suffering from serious / long illness many be sent back to their homes for proper treatment. She will be considered for re-admission to the course, only if found medically fit.

Nursing Training : The basic of General nursing training is to give the practical base to the theoretical & academic knowledge of the student. The training module is designed as per syllabus of the training course in General Nursing & Midwifery as per the pattern provided by the Indian Nursing Council. During the period of training the student nurse will be required to join the duty in the attached hospital / dispensary, which enable her to learn about behavior of patients, diseases and general working of the hospitals etc. The purpose of the training in the area of Maternity and Child Welfare as well as Community Health is to prepare them also for the Post Graduate training in the profession. They may work hard to equip themselves for the same so that they may recognize as a successful professionals. The Institute will leave no stone unturned for the same. All the students are required to go from time to time, to affiliated hospitals/dispensaries and health centers to gain clinical experience. Educational tours are compulsory to for students which shall be of minimum 5 months during the complete course of 3 year 6 months. The students will be sent to various recognized hospitals as and when arranged by institute. Students have to pay their travel and other expenses during these trips. During their practical training at any of hospital / dispensary they will be governed by the rules & regulations of the concerned.

Students shall be assigned duties within the departments or any other relation department as part of their training. They shall be on night duty also from time to time, if so required.
